A ProfileSPDLinSubstrSolver object will perform the numerical substructuring operations on a ProfileSPDLinSOE object.

§ condenseA()

int XC::ProfileSPDLinSubstrSolver::condenseA ( int  numInt)
virtual

Causes the condenser to form \(A_{ee}^*= A_{ee} -A_{ei} A_{ii}^{-1} A_{ie}\), where \(A_{ii}\) is the first numInt rows of the \(A\) matrix.

The original \(A\) is changed as a result. \(A_{ee}^*\) is to be stored in \(A_{ee}\).

purpose: A procedure which takes the stifness matrix A= | A11 A12 | | A21 A22 | and does the following:

1) replaces A11 with D1 & U11, where A11= U11'*D1*U11

2) replaces A12 with M, where M= inv(U11')*A12

3) replaces A22 with Kdash, where Kdash= A22 - A21*inv(A11)*A12 = A22 - M'*inv(D1)*M

inputs: K[] - the nxn matrix symmetric matrix Profile[] - a vector outlining the profile of K n - the size of the system in - the no of internal dof (<n)

outputs: int 0 if no error -1 if diag term < MINDIAG -2 if diag tem becomes <= 0

Receive the object.

Each object has to receive the data needed to be able to recreate itself in the new process after it has been sent through cp. If the object is an aggregation containing other objects, new objects of the correct type can be constructed using #theBroker. To return 0 if successful or a -1 if not.

§ sendSelf()

Send the object.

Each object has to send the data needed to be able to reproduce that object in a remote process. The object uses the methods provided by cp object to send the data to another channel at the remote actor, the address of the channel is set before this method is called. An object of similar type at the remote actor is invoked with a receiveSelf() to receive the data. Returns 0 if successful (successful in that the data got to the channel), or a - if no data was sent.

Reimplemented from XC::ProfileSPDLinDirectSolver.

§ setComputedXext()

int XC::ProfileSPDLinSubstrSolver::setComputedXext ( const Vector xExt)

Sets the computed value of the unknowns in \(X_e\) corresponding to the external equations to u.

The number of external equations is given by the size of vector \(u\).

Implements XC::DomainSolver.

§ setSize()

int XC::ProfileSPDLinSubstrSolver::setSize ( void  )
virtual

Sets the number of equations.

This is invoked by the LinearSOE object when setSize() has been invoked on it. Solvers may sometimes need to store additional data that needs to be updated if the size of the system of equation changes.

Reimplemented from XC::ProfileSPDLinDirectSolver.

Computes the solution.

The solver first copies the B vector into X. The solve process changes $A$ and $X$.
